Mass Choir

Mass Choir

The Festival Mass Choir is directed by Jonathan E. L. Wall and is made up of singers representing high schools and academies from across the country. The Festival Choir has the privilege of performing a wondrous array of music that every year ranges from masterworks and traditional favorites to new and exciting choral literature.

This year the Mass Choir will perform the World Premiere of Kim Andre Arnesens' newest work, Sing The Earth, with lyrics from Charles Anthony Silverstri and scored for choir, brass, percussion & organ. In addition to the premiere, repertoire includes Kyrie from Louis Viernes' Messe Solennelle Op. 16, Kuimba Nafsi Yangu by Jacob Narverud and A Mighty Fortress by Dan Forrest.

All accepted singers:

-Festival singers must purchase and prepare music prior to the festival.

-Each singer must demonstrate note accuracy, good tone quality, proper pronunciation, dynamics & rhythms for each of the 4 songs before arriving for festival.
